Tammy Slaton Explores Dating Again After Husband’s Passing, Hints at Seeking a Same-Sex Relationship

Tammy Slaton, star of the reality show 1000-Lb. Sisters, is ready to re-enter the dating scene nearly a year after the death of her husband, Caleb Willingham. In an exclusive clip from the season finale, Slaton reveals her intentions to her brother Chris and his wife Brittany. While Chris expresses his desire for her to find someone who treats her well, Tammy shares a more personal revelation in a confessional.

A Shift in Romantic Preferences

Slaton confesses that she is considering pursuing a relationship with a woman. After Caleb’s passing, she explains that she no longer feels a romantic connection with men. “Lately I’ve been feeling like it’s time for me to start moving on and to start seeking love again, but this time I’m thinking of seeing a female,” she states. This marks a significant shift in her romantic preferences, indicating a journey of self-discovery and a willingness to explore new possibilities in her personal life.

Remembering Caleb Willingham

Slaton met Caleb Willingham at Windsor Lane Rehabilitation Center in Ohio, where they were both working on their weight loss journeys. Their connection led to a whirlwind romance and marriage in November 2022. Slaton described Willingham as the love of her life, someone who fit seamlessly into her family. Tragically, Willingham passed away seven months later at the age of 40 due to unknown causes.

A Supporter of Love in All Forms

Slaton attended Willingham’s memorial service in Ohio, surrounded by loved ones, and shared her grief publicly, calling him her best friend and guardian angel. Earlier this year, in a TikTok video, Slaton addressed questions about her sexuality. While clarifying that she is not transgender, she identified as pansexual but explained that after Willingham’s death, she felt more drawn to women, describing herself as “like a lesbian.” She emphasized her support for the LGBTQ+ community, stating, “Love is love. Everybody deserves love.”
