Drew Scott’s Christmas Tree Near-Disaster and Festive Home Tour

Drew Scott, one half of the Property Brothers duo, recently shared a video tour of his elaborately decorated Los Angeles home, revealing a near-Christmas catastrophe. While adjusting his Christmas tree, it began to topple over with him underneath. His wife, Linda Phan, swiftly intervened, preventing the tree from falling on him. “Linda saved my life,” Drew recounted in the video, describing the moment the tree “collapsed on itself.”

A Festive Home Filled with DIY Decorations

Crisis averted, Drew showcased the rest of his holiday décor. The home is filled with festive touches, including handmade ornaments, classic Christmas movie projections, and a miniature train for their two young children, Parker and Piper. Drew and Jonathan offer additional holiday decorating tips on their website.

The tour begins with the home’s entryway, adorned with pastel pink and green ribbons. Drew explains that they opted for a simpler approach this year, replacing the traditional thick garland with elegant ribbons. Linda, whom Drew affectionately calls the “ribbon queen,” is credited with the idea.

A Family-Friendly Christmas Tree

The Christmas tree is a focal point, adorned with homemade ornaments and snowflakes crafted by the family. Mindful of his young children, Drew utilizes shatterproof ornaments. He humorously reveals a decorating secret: the back of the tree is bare due to a shortage of ornaments. Linda playfully compares the half-decorated tree to a “hospital gown.”

A Ceiling Train and Nostalgic Projections

A miniature train circling the living room ceiling is a highlight, installed especially for Parker, who loves trains. Drew proudly shares that he fulfilled Linda’s seemingly impossible idea.

The exterior of the house is equally enchanting, boasting smart lights that transition from Halloween to Christmas colors with a remote. A projector displays the classic claymation Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, a childhood favorite of Drew’s. He enjoys how the nostalgic display attracts neighbors and evokes a sense of childhood wonder. Drew credits his parents for instilling a love of elaborate Christmas decorating.
