Taco Bell is adding a new twist to a classic fast-food favorite with the nationwide launch of its Crispy Chicken Nuggets. These aren’t your average nuggets; they feature all-white meat chicken marinated in jalapeño buttermilk for a subtle kick, then coated in a unique blend of breadcrumbs and crushed tortilla chips for extra crunch.
Taco Bell didn’t stop at just perfecting the nugget itself. They also developed three dipping sauces to elevate the flavor experience: the brand-new Hidden Valley Fire Ranch, a spicy twist on the classic ranch dressing; the signature creamy and tangy Bell Sauce; and a sweet and spicy Jalapeño Honey Mustard.

According to Taco Bell, they tested over 100 different sauces to find the perfect complements to the Crispy Chicken Nuggets. The company emphasizes its commitment to innovation, drawing a parallel to their successful Nacho Fries. Taylor Montgomery, Taco Bell’s Chief Marketing Officer, stated that the company recognizes the responsibility of reinventing a classic and aims to provide a unique and bold take on chicken nuggets. Montgomery further expressed confidence that the new nuggets, especially when paired with the Hidden Valley Fire Ranch, will challenge customers’ loyalty to their current favorite nuggets.
The Crispy Chicken Nuggets were initially tested in select markets, including Minneapolis last year and Houston earlier this year, generating significant anticipation for their nationwide release.

Early reviews suggest the nuggets live up to the hype. The chicken is described as tender and juicy, with the tortilla chip coating providing a satisfying crunch. Starting December 19th, customers can order the Crispy Chicken Nuggets in five or ten-piece portions at participating Taco Bell locations nationwide. A combo meal featuring the nuggets alongside Nacho Fries, nacho cheese sauce, and a large fountain drink will also be available.
