Brianna LaPaglia Celebrates 11-Pound Weight Gain After Reaching High School Weight

Brianna “Chickenfry” LaPaglia, a popular content creator, shared exciting news with her followers on TikTok: she has gained 11 pounds. This announcement comes approximately a month after she revealed that her weight had dropped to what it was in high school due to mental health struggles. LaPaglia expressed relief and joy at her renewed appetite and ability to eat again, though she jokingly cautioned herself to “relax a little bit” after a year of not eating properly.

“We have exciting news. I think I’ve gained 11 lbs.,” LaPaglia announced in her December 27th TikTok video. “And it’s great and it’s awesome because I have an appetite again. I’m eating.” She acknowledged the rapid change, humorously adding, “But I’m like, ‘…I know you haven’t eaten for a year, but maybe relax a little bit’.”

For those unfamiliar with her recent struggles, the Plan Bri Uncut cohost provided context. “If you’re confused, I lost a lot of weight,” she explained. “It was like … toxic, awful, horrible situation. I was mentally going through it so bad that like I couldn’t eat and I became skin and bones.”

LaPaglia initially disclosed her significant weight loss in November, shortly after her public breakup with country singer Zach Bryan. She detailed a 15-pound weight loss on the BFF Podcast and TikTok, noting she was at her lowest weight since she was 15 years old. She clarified that her weight loss wasn’t due to a lack of desire to eat but rather being “physically sick from what I was going through mentally.” LaPaglia also revealed her struggles with “new anxiety” and the difficulty of coping with it while trying to regain a healthy weight.

In her latest TikTok, LaPaglia attributed her recent weight gain to intentionally eating “s—– food” like pasta and fast food to help her gain weight. She expressed happiness about her jeans fitting better and feeling like herself again. “These are things that are making me feel happy and making me feel good,” she emphasized. “It took me like three months to get an appetite back … I literally feel like I’m ravenous.” LaPaglia reassured her audience that weight gain can be a positive sign of recovery and overall well-being. “It’s possible, it’s happening and gaining weight isn’t a bad thing. Sometimes it can actually be a really good thing and a really good sign that things are going well.”
