He described the property as “amazing” and a source of creative stimulation. Blucas’ love for old stone structures and the unique architectural opportunities presented by the East Coast were key motivators for the move. He envisioned “projects for life,” tackling the restoration of the old stone farmhouse and barn.

A 2021 Instagram post further revealed Blucas’ journey, proudly announcing obtaining his contractor’s license and working on other properties. He described his wife Ryan’s “leap of faith” in supporting his dream of restoring a historic property for their growing family. Blucas candidly referred to the house as a “s——-” needing extensive work, emphasizing the patience, love, and effort required for its transformation. He hoped to instill in his children the value of hard work, historical preservation, and the satisfaction of DIY projects.

Tragically, Dayle Haddon was found deceased in a second-floor bedroom on December 27th. Emergency responders were called to the Bucks County home, and Walter Blucas, 76, was found unconscious on the first floor. He was transported to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital for treatment.

Official police reports indicate a faulty flue and exhaust pipe on the gas heating system as the likely cause of the carbon monoxide leak. This devastating incident underscores the critical importance of carbon monoxide safety measures in homes.
Marc Blucas married Ryan in 2012, and they have two daughters together. Ryan also has two children from her previous marriage to actor Christian Slater. At the time of this report, Blucas’ representatives had not yet commented on the tragedy.
