Cameron Brink, the talented WNBA athlete and Urban Decay ambassador, is already envisioning her dream wedding dress after a romantic proposal in Paris. The 23-year-old Los Angeles Sparks star recently got engaged to her boyfriend, Ben Felter, in a surprise proposal orchestrated during Paris Fashion Week in September 2024.
Brink shared her wedding dress aspirations in an exclusive interview, expressing her desire for a classic and elegant design. She’s drawn to the timeless style of Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy’s iconic Narciso Rodriguez wedding gown and hopes to find something similarly sophisticated. “I would love to go with a designer like Vera Wang,” Brink revealed. Given her height, she’s looking for a gown that complements her stature without being overly extravagant. “I’m so tall that I just want to have something very elegant. Nothing too crazy, so we’re going to play around. I feel like my favorite part is going to be trying on all the dresses.”
Beyond the ceremony, Brink has also considered her rehearsal and reception attire. Inspired by her mother, Michelle Bain-Brink, she’s planning to wear a chic white suit. “I want to do a white suit,” she says, adding, “My mom made me obsessed with a nice tailored suit.”
The proposal itself was a complete surprise for Brink. Felter, a graduate student in computer science at Stanford University, initially told Brink he would be working on the West Coast while she was in Paris for Fashion Week. However, he secretly flew to Paris with his mother, turning off his phone location to maintain the element of surprise. “He turned off his
location and he flew to Paris with his mom without me knowing. It was probably one of the best days ever in my life,” Brink gushed. The surprise extended to Brink’s outfit choice for the evening. Believing she was attending a Fashion Week afterparty, she had planned to wear a more daring dress. “I thought I was walking up to an afterparty situation and it was him waiting there. It was just really, really sweet of him to come all the way to do that and then we literally left the next day. It was a very short trip for him to do all of that. So yeah, engaged life is the best.” Brink’s excitement about her engagement and upcoming wedding is palpable, and fans are eagerly awaiting further details about her special day. She clearly cherishes the thoughtful gesture Felter made and is embracing this new chapter in her life with joy and anticipation.
