Cardi B’s Dazzling Appearance and Grammy Nomination at the 2025 Awards

Cardi B made a stunning entrance at the 2025 Grammy Awards, captivating onlookers with her exquisite fashion choice and celebrating her nomination for Best Rap Performance.

Styled by Kollin Carter, the “Bodak Yellow” rapper, who recently welcomed her third child, graced the red carpet in a custom Roberto Cavalli Couture mermaid gown. The one-shoulder masterpiece was hand-embroidered with beads and sequins, intricately arranged in a pattern reminiscent of a tiger’s stripes. The form-fitting dress flowed into a multicolored feathered train, complemented by a feather boa that Cardi removed for photos.

Cardi’s glam was equally impressive, featuring an old Hollywood-style bob with curls, brown-toned makeup, and long nails with sharp black French tips.

This year, Cardi’s single “Enough (Miami)” from her upcoming sophomore album earned her a nomination for Best Rap Performance. A win would mark her first Grammy victory since 2019, when she made history by becoming the first solo female artist to win Best Rap Album for her debut, Invasion of Privacy.

Cardi’s 2025 Grammy appearance follows a recent trend of show-stopping outfits. On New Year’s Eve, she performed at E11EVEN Miami in a similarly alluring lingerie-inspired dress, featuring a sheer black lace corset-style bodice and an emerald green velvet skirt with a high slit. Black lace opera gloves and black pointed-toe pumps completed the ensemble, along with long, flowing waves and smoky eye makeup accented by colored contact lenses. During her performance, Cardi kicked off her heels, opting to go barefoot on stage.

This year’s Grammy Awards, hosted by Trevor Noah for the fifth consecutive year, took on a special significance as it aimed to raise funds for wildfire relief efforts and support music professionals affected by the Los Angeles fires. Donations were encouraged for the Recording Academy and MusiCare’s Los Angeles Fire Relief Effort, which had already raised over $3 million.
