Wayne Brady, the renowned comedian and host of Let’s Make a Deal, is partnering with Perdue Chicken for a unique Super Bowl experience. He’ll be performing live improv comedy on Instagram during the game breaks, fueled by fan suggestions and Perdue’s Air Fryer Ready Crispy Wings.
Brady, known for his fearless improv skills on shows like Whose Line Is It Anyway?, admits to having fears, like flying and boats. However, stepping onto a stage or in front of a camera to improvise isn’t one of them. He’s embracing the “winging it” mentality for this live Super Bowl performance, collaborating with his improv partner Jonathan Mangum and fellow comedian Chris Lee.
The trio will be taking improv suggestions from fans across various social media platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok. These suggestions will be inspired by in-game moments, commentary, and even the commercials. They’ll then translate those suggestions into impromptu songs, scenes, impersonations, and characters, all performed live on social media.
This unique interactive experience is a first of its kind, offering football fans a comedic break between the on-field action. Brady emphasizes the importance of audience participation, encouraging viewers to submit their suggestions and be part of the show.
For Brady, preparation for an improv show is simply life itself. He explains that every pop culture reference, every piece of knowledge absorbed, and every life experience contributes to the spontaneous creations that emerge during a performance. It’s this “no preparation” approach that makes improv so exciting and unpredictable.
Of course, no Super Bowl gathering is complete without food. Brady and his crew will be enjoying Perdue Air Fryer Ready Crispy Wings, particularly the lemon pepper flavor, paired with Arnold Palmers. While Brady admits he’s not a die-hard football fan, he enjoys the Super Bowl for the camaraderie, the halftime show, and the shared experience with friends and family. He particularly enjoys the spectacular performances and the delicious food that are central to the Super Bowl tradition.
The live improv performances will be available on Wayne Brady’s Instagram page on Super Bowl Sunday, February 9th. Tune in for a unique blend of football and comedic entertainment.
