Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umansky are considering selling their shared home following their separation. On a recent episode of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills After Show, Richards, 56, revealed that she and Umansky, 54, are nearing a decision about their family home after announcing their separation in July 2023. The couple had been married for 27 years.
“Obviously, we have lived together more than half of our lives and it’s hard to just cut that cord,” Richards stated, acknowledging the difficulty of separating from a home filled with so many memories.

While they haven’t officially filed for divorce, Richards confirmed they are actively discussing their living arrangements and the future of their property. They’re weighing various options, including Richards remaining in the current home, selling it and each purchasing new homes, or retaining the property due to its sentimental value while living separately.
“We have had more conversations about, ‘What should we do, should I still live where I’m living? Should we sell the house and each go buy two new homes? Or do we keep the house because it is such a special property and just each go our different ways?’ ” Richards explained. She added, “We’re discussing those things now, which we did not before.”
Richards and Umansky have three daughters together: Alexa, 28, Sophia, 25, and Portia, 16. Richards also has a daughter, Farrah Brittany, 36, from a previous marriage.
Last May, Richards disclosed that Umansky had moved out of their family home while she was away. In December, she mentioned that although Umansky had invited her to his new condo, she hadn’t yet visited, but he frequently visits the family home.

Despite the ongoing discussions about their living situation, Richards emphasized on The RHOBH After Show that they remain amicable and maintain a good friendship. She expressed a desire to protect Umansky from negative comments, stating, “I don’t think there is a blueprint for exactly how this has to be done. I find myself being oddly protective and defensive of him because people want to say things about him, thinking it would make me happy… I’m like, ‘You don’t know how we work, we’re good.’ ” The couple continues to navigate their separation while prioritizing their family and maintaining a positive relationship.
