While cruising through Malibu with his kids, O’Connell stumbled upon a food truck engulfed in flames. Sheriff’s deputies were already on the scene, assisting someone trapped inside the truck, but firefighters were yet to arrive. That’s when O’Connell, channeling his inner hero, sprang into action.

O’Connell first noticed propane tanks dangerously close to the raging fire. Without hesitation, he moved the tanks away from the immediate vicinity, preventing a potential explosion. He then located a fire extinguisher and began battling the flames that had spread to a nearby field.
