Every team faces adversity throughout an NFL season, and the Denver Broncos are no exception. Defensive Coordinator Vance Joseph addressed the team’s ability to handle these challenges, particularly highlighting their response to early-game adversity in a recent week.
“That was the first time we had adversity in the first drive in about 3 weeks, you know, so it happens. It happens daily, it happens weekly, it happens over the… So just uh, having your guys ready to handle it, that’s the key,” Joseph stated. This resilience speaks to the team’s preparation and mentality, crucial factors in navigating the ups and downs of a demanding season.

The Broncos injury report revealed both positive and concerning developments. Defensive ends Zack Allen and John Franklin-Myers participated fully in practice, a positive sign after being limited earlier in the week. However, wide receiver Josh Reynolds, tackle Alex Palczewski, and Center Luke Wattenberg were unable to practice, raising concerns about their availability for the upcoming game.
Offensive Coordinator Joel Lombardi expressed confidence in the team’s depth, a testament to the front office’s efforts in building a competitive roster. “You never like your… your… your frontline guys to go down, but you know our scouting department and our Pro Personnel Department, they’ve done a really good job giving us excellent depth here. So, uh, you know we feel we can go forward with… with whoever has to step up,” Lombardi affirmed.
This depth will be tested as the Broncos face the inevitability of injuries throughout the season. The ability of backups to seamlessly step in and contribute will be paramount to the team’s success.
