Moments later, the situation escalated dramatically as Robinson moved behind the deli counter and grabbed a butcher-style knife. The off-duty officer immediately alerted store employees and other shoppers, urging them to move away from the area.
As first responders arrived, they found themselves in a tense standoff with Robinson, who was brandishing the large knife and exhibiting signs of emotional distress.
