After unleashing multiple rounds, L’Prise moves away from the front desk and places her bag and gun on separate chairs. She discards her sweatshirt and appears to light a cigarette. Taking a seat with the gun still in hand, L’Prise waits as officers approach the lobby door.
As the door cracks open, L’Prise seizes the opportunity and fires another shot. She then rises from her chair and starts banging on the walls, her behavior becoming increasingly erratic.
Body camera footage reveals officers strategically monitoring L’Prise’s movements, their weapons drawn. They communicate her location and confirm she is still armed, preparing for a potentially life-threatening confrontation.
The security footage then shows officers swiftly entering the lobby and decisively tackling L’Prise to the ground. According to official reports, an electronic control device was used to subdue and apprehend her.
Thankfully, no one was injured during the harrowing ordeal. Officials confirmed that none of L’Prise’s bullets penetrated the bulletproof glass protecting the police department. It was also revealed that a Bristol Police Officer discharged two rounds in L’Prise’s direction, but those bullets were also stopped by the protective glass.
