On July 21st, police officers in Parma, Ohio, responded to a shooting at an apartment complex on the city’s South Side. The incident occurred around 20 minutes outside of Cleveland.

Upon arrival, officers discovered 26-year-old Julius Sanders fatally shot. Body camera footage reveals the moments officers entered the scene and apprehended the suspect.
As an officer ascends the stairwell, 25-year-old David Grant can be heard proclaiming, “I’m the shooter.” Grant is promptly taken into custody.

While first responders secured the area, Grant reiterated his confession, stating, “I’m right here, nobody else, I’m right here.” The firearm used in the crime was recovered at the scene.
Authorities later confirmed that Grant and Sanders were acquainted, and a physical altercation preceded the shooting. Subsequently, Grant has been formally charged with first-degree murder.
