Adult Film Star Ron Jeremy Faces Multiple Rape and Sexual Assault Charges

The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s office has charged renowned adult film actor Ron Jeremy, also known as Ronald Jeremy Hyatt, with multiple counts of rape and sexual assault, adding another high-profile case to the list of Hollywood figures accused of misconduct. The 67-year-old Jeremy faces charges involving four separate incidents, with three women accusing him of rape and a fourth alleging sexual assault.

The charges against Jeremy detail a pattern of alleged predatory behavior spanning several years. Prosecutors allege that in May 2014, Jeremy raped a 25-year-old woman at a West Hollywood residence. Subsequent incidents in 2017 involved the sexual assault of two women, aged 33 and 46, at a West Hollywood bar. Most recently, Jeremy is accused of raping a 30-year-old woman at the same bar in July 2019.

These accusations led to Jeremy’s arrest and arraignment, with bail set at $6.6 million. He faces three counts each of forcible rape and forcible penetration by a foreign object, along with one count each of forcible oral copulation and sexual battery. If convicted on all counts, Jeremy could face a sentence of up to 90 years in prison.

Jeremy’s case is being handled by a special task force established by Los Angeles County District Attorney Jackie Lacey in 2017. Additionally, actor Danny Masterson, known for his role in “That ’70s Show,” was recently charged with raping three women.
