Alabama Barker, daughter of Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker and actress Shanna Moakler, recently addressed reports regarding her hospitalization for alleged nicotine withdrawal. In a since-deleted Instagram story, the 19-year-old clarified the timeline and nature of the incident.
“I just want to clarify that I was not in the hospital this month or last. The situation occurred some time ago,” Alabama stated. She further explained that the visit was brief, lasting only about three hours before she was discharged. The treatment she received consisted of a nicotine patch and an inhaler. “Let’s please avoid spreading any rumors and focus on moving forward,” she concluded.

The initial report, published by TMZ on December 30th, claimed that Alabama had experienced nicotine withdrawal severe enough to necessitate a 911 call and subsequent hospitalization. However, Alabama’s statement did not directly mention vaping or quitting vaping, leaving the specific cause of her hospital visit unconfirmed.
Prior to addressing the hospitalization rumors, on December 26th, Alabama revealed on TikTok that she had been battling the flu, which significantly impacted her 19th birthday celebrations on Christmas Eve. Despite feeling unwell, she shared a video showcasing her extravagant Christmas and birthday gifts, totaling an estimated $80,000.
The impressive haul included luxury items such as a pink Chrome Hearts wallet, a Balenciaga rhinestone shoulder bag, a Prada duffle purse, vintage Dior and Chanel bags, a Prada shearling mini-pouch, a Goyard carrier, and her second Hermès Birkin bag.
