Andi Dorfman, former star of “The Bachelorette,” experienced a brief hospital readmission for a minor procedure just days after welcoming her first child, daughter Harper Bell Hart. Dorfman shared the news with fans via her Instagram Stories on December 28th, eight days after giving birth.
The Instagram Story featured a photo of Dorfman in a hospital gown, smiling radiantly while cradling baby Harper. “Welp, we’re back!” she wrote. “This time for Mama (a minor setback and need a quick/safe procedure) but got to get a quick snuggle with this little nugget first 🥹 also never been less excited for anesthesia (motherhood changes you quick 😆).”

Dorfman urged her followers to trust their instincts regarding their bodies, especially postpartum. “Lesson Learned: No matter how clueless you are about motherhood, you still know your body best! Listen to it!” she emphasized. “Yes, recovery is tough and everyone is different but your instincts are valid (and probably right).”
Dorfman and her husband, Blaine Hart, whom she married in May 2023, welcomed Harper Bell Hart on December 20th. The couple announced their daughter’s arrival and shared her name on Instagram two days later. “Introducing … Harper Bell Hart 💗 Our sweet girl came into this world at a solid 7lbs 13 ounces and towering tall like her Daddy at 20.5 inches!” They expressed their overwhelming love for their newborn and shared the special meaning behind Harper’s middle name. “He even chose her middle name which is short for Bellissima, the Italian word for ‘beautiful,'” Dorfman explained, “an ode to a place that has been a magical part of so many milestones in our lives and now will continue to be a part of her for forever.”

The new family shared their first Christmas photos together on December 25th, capturing a heartwarming moment in front of their Christmas tree. Dorfman also posted an adorable photo of Harper in reindeer pajamas on December 26th, celebrating her daughter’s first Christmas.
Despite the minor setback, Dorfman appears to be recovering well and enjoying the joys of motherhood. She and Hart have expressed immense gratitude for the outpouring of well wishes they’ve received since Harper’s arrival.
