The 2024 NFL Draft saw a historic run on quarterbacks, with six selected in the first round, all within the first 12 picks. While the 2025 class might not be as stacked, several intriguing prospects are emerging. As we head into summer scouting, here are 10 quarterbacks to keep your eye on.
Carson Beck, Georgia
Carson Beck is positioned as a potential top pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. While not as undeniably elite as Caleb Williams was in the previous draft cycle, Beck possesses the accuracy and timing that NFL teams covet.
In the 2023 season, he ranked among the top five quarterbacks in adjusted completion rate and average time to throw. His overall PFF grade of 91.5 solidified his place as one of the best quarterbacks in college football.
Shedeur Sanders, Colorado
Shedeur Sanders enters the 2025 NFL Draft conversation with impressive credentials. His 92.9 PFF grade when throwing from a clean pocket ranked third in the nation in 2023, trailing only the top two picks in the 2024 draft – Caleb Williams and Jayden Daniels.
Further demonstrating his ability to protect the ball, Sanders boasted a 1.6% turnover-worthy play rate, ranking fourth among all FBS quarterbacks.

Quinn Ewers, Texas
Quinn Ewers made significant strides between his redshirt freshman and sophomore seasons. His completion percentage jumped, and his turnover-worthy play rate was cut in half, dropping from 3.6% to 1.7%.
Ewers possesses a cannon for an arm but will need to shoulder more of the offensive burden in 2024 after Texas lost several key skill position players to the NFL. How he handles that responsibility will go a long way in determining his draft stock.
Jalen Milroe, Alabama
Jalen Milroe possesses an intriguing blend of arm talent and athleticism. His 9.2% big-time throw rate was second-best in the nation in 2023, and he also showcased his rushing ability with 35 carries that went for 10+ yards.
Milroe will need to improve his consistency in the short and intermediate passing game to reach his full potential, but the tools are there for him to develop into a high-level NFL prospect.
Drew Allar, Penn State
Drew Allar’s box score stats from the 2023 season don’t jump off the page, but context is critical when evaluating his performance. Despite playing with a subpar supporting cast and questionable play-calling, he still managed an 86.3 PFF grade, good for top-20 in the nation.
Allar takes care of the football at an elite level, evidenced by his 1.1% turnover-worthy play rate. If new offensive coordinator Andy Kotelnicki can scheme to Allar’s strengths, his draft stock has the potential to skyrocket.
Conner Weigman, Texas A&M
Conner Weigman’s sophomore season was cut short due to a foot injury, but he flashed immense potential in the four games he did play, earning a 91.9 PFF grade during that span.
Weigman has a strong arm but needs to improve his consistency. If he can pick up where he left off before the injury, he could work his way into the first-round conversation.

Dillon Gabriel, Oregon
Dillon Gabriel is an experienced quarterback who consistently puts up impressive numbers. His 91.9 PFF grade trailed only Jayden Daniels and Bo Nix among FBS quarterbacks in 2023, and his 2.0% turnover-worthy play rate from his time at Oklahoma demonstrates his ability to protect the football.
While Gabriel projects more as a high-level backup at the next level, his experience and steady hand make him a name to watch throughout the 2024 season.
Jaxson Dart, Ole Miss
Jaxson Dart made significant strides in his junior season, improving his passing grade from 75.2 in 2022 to 88.7 in 2023. One area where he showed particularly impressive growth was his play outside of the pocket. After posting a dismal 42.8 passing grade outside of the pocket in 2022, he improved that mark to a respectable 74.6 in 2023.
While his production was undoubtedly aided by Lane Kiffin’s quarterback-friendly offense, Dart has the talent to solidify himself as a legitimate NFL prospect with another strong season.
Riley Leonard, Notre Dame
Riley Leonard is transferring to Notre Dame after a solid career at Duke, where he showcased his dual-threat ability as a passer and runner. His 1,164 rushing yards since 2022 rank eighth among all Power Five quarterbacks.
Leonard will need to improve his accuracy to succeed at the next level, but he’s a name to keep an eye on as he takes over the reins of a Notre Dame offense that should give him plenty of opportunities to shine.
Cameron Ward, Miami (FL)
Cameron Ward is a boom-or-bust prospect with the arm talent to make any throw but also the tendency to be reckless with the football. His 24 big-time throws in 2023 were tied for eighth in the Power Five, but his 42 turnover-worthy plays during that same span were the most among all Power Five quarterbacks.
If Ward can rein in his decision-making, he has all the physical tools to be a first-round pick. However, if he continues to be turnover-prone, his NFL future will be in jeopardy.
