A note from Dolor reveals a cryptic clue: “If entry down below’s your aim, seek trigger hidden by a frame.” This refers to the “Butterfly on Skull” painting. Activate the hidden button, revealing a secret door. Utter the password “Sicarius” to gain entry. A Death Knight guards the temple entrance. Declare, “I killed to be here – and took the victim’s hand as proof,” to proceed into the Bhaalist Crypt.
Confronting Sarevok and the Bhaalspawn Echoes
Within the throne room, you’ll face Sarevok Anchev, the infamous antagonist of the original Baldur’s Gate. He is accompanied by three Bhaalspawn echoes: Amelyssan, Sendai, and Illasera, their tormented spirits bound to him. Your primary objective is to convince Sarevok of your commitment to Bhaal’s murderous creed. A randomly selected hand from your inventory will summon the victim’s spirit.
