Channing Tatum is bringing his iconic Magic Mike moves to the football field in a new Super Bowl commercial for STōK cold brew coffee. The ad, which will air during Super Bowl LIX on Fox, features Tatum teaching the Wrexham AFC team some sultry dance moves in their locker room.
Tatum told PEOPLE exclusively that the experience was a “weird dream come true,” adding that he had a blast filming the commercial. Fueled by STōK, the actor flips, gyrates, and grooves, encouraging the footballers to embrace their inner dancers for on-field celebrations.

Tatum revealed that the Wrexham players were surprisingly involved in the choreography. “Well over 50 percent of those dance moves, those boys came up with,” he recalled, noting that they had strong opinions on their desired celebration styles. The abundance of filmed material could have easily filled a much longer ad spot.
The commercial, produced by Ryan Reynolds’ Maximum Effort production company, includes a cameo from Reynolds himself. Reynolds, who co-owns Wrexham AFC with Rob McElhenney, makes a brief appearance via a phone call with Tatum. The actor confirmed his friendship with both Reynolds and McElhenney, emphasizing the fun and collaborative spirit of the project. The goal was to keep the dance moves lighthearted and PG, avoiding a full “stripper” routine.

Contrary to expectations, the Wrexham players weren’t starstruck by Tatum. In fact, he admitted to being more nervous meeting them. He described the team as incredibly nice and welcoming, fostering a camaraderie that translated seamlessly onto the screen. Tatum attended a Wrexham game prior to filming, further solidifying their bond.
Tatum’s personal connection to STōK Cold Brew further cemented his involvement in the ad. He shared that he was already a fan of the product, relying on it to power through the demanding and unpredictable schedule of an actor. The coffee helps him manage the irregular hours and maintain his energy levels.
The Super Bowl LIX showdown between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles in New Orleans will feature this entertaining STōK commercial, promising a memorable blend of football and dance. The commercial airs on Sunday, February 9th, on Fox.
