Chick-fil-A is kicking off 2025 with the return of several popular menu items, including a citrusy favorite and a savory sandwich. Starting January 7th, customers can once again enjoy the Key Lime Frosted Lemonade and the Grilled Spicy Deluxe Sandwich.
The Key Lime Frosted Lemonade, first introduced in 2019 as a limited-time offering, blends Chick-fil-A’s classic lemonade (available in regular or diet) with creamy vanilla soft-serve and a refreshing key lime flavor. This milkshake-style beverage hasn’t been available since its initial launch.
Alongside the frosted lemonade, Chick-fil-A is also introducing a new Key Lime Lemonade. This version features the same lemonade base and key lime flavor but without the Icedream. This provides a lighter, non-dairy option for those seeking a citrusy refreshment.

Returning alongside the Key Lime beverages is the Grilled Spicy Deluxe Sandwich. Initially released in 2021, this sandwich features a marinated, grilled chicken breast topped with Colby Jack cheese, lettuce, and tomato, all served on a multigrain brioche bun. The distinctive element of this sandwich is the Cilantro Lime Sauce, a creamy, limited-time condiment packed separately. This sauce should not be confused with the regularly available Avocado Lime Ranch Dressing.

While Chick-fil-A is bringing back these favorites, Starbucks is also expanding its menu in early January. Starting January 3rd, Starbucks will permanently add three new items: the Cortado, Brown Sugar Oatmilk Cortado, and Spicy Falafel Pocket.
The Cortado, originating from Spain, is an espresso-based drink that combines espresso shots with steamed milk. It has a stronger coffee flavor compared to lattes and cappuccinos, which include milk foam. Starbucks’ Cortado features three ristretto shots of blonde espresso and steamed milk (dairy or non-dairy). The Brown Sugar Oatmilk Cortado follows the same method but uses steamed oat milk, brown sugar syrup, and a sprinkle of cinnamon. Both Cortado options are served hot in an 8-ounce “short” cup.
The vegan Spicy Falafel Pocket features smashed falafel, hummus, roasted red peppers, pickled onions, and a spicy herb sauce all wrapped in lavash flatbread. This provides a flavorful and plant-based option for customers.
These returning favorites and new additions from Chick-fil-A and Starbucks offer a variety of flavors and options for those looking to try something new or revisit a beloved classic in the new year.
