The Browns also made a strategic move by signing quarterback Jameis Winston. Last season, the team endured a challenging quarterback situation, starting five different players due to injuries. While Joe Flacco finished the season as the starter, the Browns clearly saw Winston as an upgrade, leading to Flacco’s departure to the Indianapolis Colts.
Beyond these key additions, the Browns recently reinforced their running back corps by signing free agent D’Onta Foreman, who played for the Chicago Bears in 2023. As reported by Jordan Schultz of Bleacher Report, Cleveland was actively seeking another running back, and Foreman fits the bill.

During his nine-game stint with the Bears last season, Foreman recorded 109 carries for 425 yards and four touchdowns. While not heavily involved in the passing game, he contributed 11 receptions for 77 yards and one touchdown.
Foreman’s arrival provides valuable insurance behind Nick Chubb, joining Jerome Ford and Pierre Strong in the Browns’ backfield. Chubb suffered a severe knee injury in Week 2 of the 2023 season, leaving his availability for the start of the 2024 campaign uncertain.
