Rapper Doechii, a three-time Grammy nominee, made a bold fashion statement at the 2025 Grammy Awards held at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles. The 26-year-old artist embraced a sophisticated “office siren” aesthetic with two distinct Thom Browne ensembles.
Doechii’s red carpet look featured a custom, off-the-shoulder pinstripe corset dress crafted from wool. The structured silhouette accentuated her hips, further emphasizing the office-wear theme with a matching pinstripe tie and a classic white button-down shirt. The shirt showcased Thom Browne’s signature triple-stripe armband detail in red, white, and blue. Cool-toned eye makeup, an intricate braided hairstyle, and sparkling drop earrings completed the ensemble.

For the awards ceremony, Doechii, whose real name is Jaylah Hickmon, changed into a second Thom Browne creation to accept the Best Rap Album award for “Alligator Bites Never Heal.” This look maintained the structured, pinstriped theme with a gray skirt featuring an exaggerated hip silhouette, paired with a gray tie and white shirt. However, this ensemble incorporated additional layers: a dark gray corset and a cropped, short-sleeved suit jacket, also in gray. Doechii further elevated the look with a gravity-defying geometric braided hairstyle.

In addition to winning Best Rap Album, Doechii received nominations for Best Rap Performance for her song “Nissan Altima” and the coveted Best New Artist award. She was nominated alongside Benson Boone, Sabrina Carpenter, Khruangbin, RAYE, Chappell Roan, Shaboozey, and Teddy Swims.
Following the Grammy nominations, Doechii visited her alma mater, Howard W. Blake High School, to inspire students. She received a warm welcome from the school’s marching band and cheerleaders, the Yellow Jackets, and joined them in a celebratory dance.

Doechii has also been vocal about body image and cosmetic enhancements. In December 2024, she responded to a social media critic who commented on her appearance, confirming that she had undergone procedures as early as 2021. She advocated for women’s autonomy regarding their bodies and choices. In a previous TikTok video, Doechii explained her use of face tape, a non-invasive beauty technique to minimize wrinkles and lift the face.

In May 2023, on the We Said What We Said with Ricky and Denzel podcast, Doechii acknowledged having plastic surgery but maintained that the specifics were personal. She emphasized the importance of honesty while respecting individual privacy. The 67th Annual Grammy Awards aired on February 2nd, 2025, at 8 p.m. ET on CBS and Paramount+.
