Dunkin’ Revives Beloved Valentine’s Day Treats

Dunkin’ Revives Beloved Valentine’s Day Treats

Dunkin’ is embracing the spirit of Valentine’s Day with the return of its highly anticipated seasonal treats. Starting Wednesday, January 29th, customers can indulge in love-inspired flavors, including two fan favorites: Brownie Batter and Cupid’s Choice doughnuts.

These heart-shaped filled doughnuts have graced Dunkin’ menus in previous years, making a comeback for a limited time to celebrate the most romantic holiday. According to a press release, both Brownie Batter and Cupid’s Choice are among the most requested Dunkin’ baked goods.

Dunkin’ is also giving its classic sprinkle doughnuts a Valentine’s Day makeover. Starting in late January, the doughnuts and Munchkins will be adorned with festive pink, white, and red heart sprinkles instead of the usual rainbow sprinkles. These seasonal offerings provide a sweet and festive way to celebrate Valentine’s Day.

This year’s Valentine’s Day treats follow a recent collaboration with singer Sabrina Carpenter. In December 2024, Carpenter launched her signature drink, Sabrina’s Brown Sugar Shakin’ Espresso, at Dunkin’. This beverage combines rich espresso, brown sugar flavors, and oat milk, creating a perfectly shaken iced espresso drink.

While Dunkin’ focuses on doughnuts and coffee for Valentine’s Day, other chains are also embracing the holiday with themed treats. Dairy Queen is bringing back two red velvet items: the Red Velvet Cake Blizzard and the Red Velvet Blizzard Cupid Cake.

The Red Velvet Cake Blizzard blends red velvet cake pieces and cream cheese frosting with vanilla soft serve. The heart-shaped Red Velvet Blizzard Cupid Cake layers vanilla soft serve, red velvet cake, and cream cheese frosting with a Red Velvet Cake Blizzard topping. These treats will be available nationwide starting January 27th.

Meanwhile, Wendy’s has brought back its classic vanilla Frosty after a limited-time run of the salted caramel Frosty. However, the return of the vanilla Frosty may be short-lived, as Wendy’s hinted at new Frosty flavor innovations planned for 2025. The company encourages customers to enjoy the vanilla Frosty “before it’s gone.” This suggests that the beloved treat may soon be replaced with a new flavor. The return of popular seasonal treats and the introduction of new, innovative flavors are common strategies employed by fast-food chains to attract customers and boost sales.
