A disturbing case of child sexual assault has come to light in Oklahoma, revealing a “house of horrors” where three children were forced to live in deplorable conditions. The home, covered in feces and infested with bugs, has shocked even seasoned law enforcement officers.
The investigation began in March when authorities responded to a report of sexual assault at a residence in Payne County. Upon arrival, officers were met with an overwhelming stench and a scene that defied description.

“There’s poop everywhere,” an officer can be heard saying in body camera footage released to the public. “That’s the nastiest house I’ve ever been in.”
The footage shows feces smeared across walls, floors, and even furniture. Insects can be seen crawling amidst the filth, and the air is thick with the smell of ammonia.
Stephen Kittle, 35, was arrested at the scene and charged with sexually assaulting a four-year-old girl. Detectives say Kittle confessed to the assault, admitting that it had happened on multiple occasions while a one-year-old child watched.

Kittle’s wife, 26-year-old Lindsey Pratt, and his mother, 59-year-old Robin Kittle, were also living in the home along with the two young victims and an 18-month-old child. Six dogs and three cats also shared the squalid living space.
All three adults have been charged with child neglect.
“It was as nasty as I’ve ever seen,” one officer remarked.
Court documents detail the horrific conditions inside the home, describing the air as “thick and musty” and so difficult to breathe that officers had to take breaks outside for fresh air.
One officer was so overwhelmed by the stench that he can be seen in the bodycam footage removing himself from the home and retching outside.

“Bro, that is the worst house I’ve ever been in,” another officer can be heard saying.
The children were often locked in their rooms, according to court documents, to prevent them from getting food from the refrigerator.
During the initial visit, authorities noted that the 18-month-old girl’s hands were “covered with dried feces which she rubbed in her hair and eyes.”
The court documents go on to state that “it was obvious the children smeared the feces because of the size of the handprints.”
The three children have been taken into custody by the Oklahoma Department of Human Services. Stephen Kittle, Lindsey Pratt, and Robin Kittle are all being held in the Payne County Jail.
This case is a stark reminder of the hidden horrors that some children endure. It also underscores the importance of reporting suspected child abuse and neglect.
