Jackie Goldschneider Defends Her Body Against Online Critics

Former Real Housewives of New Jersey star Jackie Goldschneider responded to online criticism about her weight and body image after posting photos from iHeartRadio’s Z100 Jingle Ball in New York City. Goldschneider, who has publicly battled anorexia and chronicled her journey in her memoir, The Weight of Beautiful, took to TikTok to address the comments calling her “plump,” “juicy,” “full-figured,” and “big.”

In her video, Goldschneider clarified that while compliments are appreciated, comments about her body size are unhelpful. She emphasized the importance of recognizing what real women’s bodies look like, stating, “Real women are not skin and bones.” She further pointed out that she could easily lose weight with medication like Ozempic but chooses not to, emphasizing that “humans are meant to feel hunger and they’re meant to eat food.”

Goldschneider, a mother of two sets of twins, urged her followers to refrain from commenting on their daughters’ bodies unless there’s a medical concern. “Don’t talk about the size of her body unless there’s a medical issue that you need to address,” she stated. This message resonates with her ongoing efforts to promote body positivity and discourage harmful body image perceptions, particularly among young girls. She reiterated her commitment to recovery, stating that she is “about 75 percent recovered” from anorexia.

She directly addressed those who made the comments, saying that if their intention was to “passive-aggressively insult me, and to throw me off my game, that will never f—ing happen.” She proudly declared that she is proud of her body, calling it “strong and beautiful” and “a work of f—ing art.”

Goldschneider didn’t hesitate to confront critics directly on Instagram. When someone commented “Ironic Jackie posing with food she won’t even eat” on a picture of her in a diner, she responded with a sharp rebuke: “How do you know what the hell I eat? Have you ever f—ing seen me once in real life? I hope you don’t have any children. You’re a judgmental idiot.” This direct response showcases her refusal to tolerate body shaming and her commitment to standing up for herself against online negativity.
