She expressed gratitude for the profound impact recovery has had on her life, forging deep friendships and enriching both her family and creative endeavors. “To every person I have come in contact with who have shared their experience, strength and hope as it relates to alcoholism and drug addiction, I thank you for your courage and welcome,” she wrote.

The actress also shared a poignant image of the former location of her weekly recovery meeting in the Palisades. The church, marked on a Google Maps screenshot, was destroyed in the devastating Los Angeles fires. This loss underscored a core principle of recovery: “we don’t drink or use no matter what,” Curtis affirmed. The destruction of the physical space served as a powerful reminder of the resilience and unwavering commitment required in maintaining sobriety, regardless of external circumstances. “The little avatar in the picture of the street is in the exact spot/seat I sat in at my weekly meeting… in a church that no longer exists, in a neighborhood that no longer exists,” she explained.
