Jessica Alba recently revealed that her 13-year-old daughter, Haven, is her new fashion guru. The 43-year-old actress shared a mirror selfie on her Instagram Stories showcasing a chic dinner date outfit inspired by Haven.
The ensemble featured a black v-neck sweater worn off-the-shoulder, paired with straight-leg jeans, a black belt, and pointed-toe black boots. Alba’s straight, dark blonde hair was center-parted and tucked behind her ears, completing the effortlessly stylish look. She captioned the photo, “Haven inspired by dinner look tonight.”

Alba and her husband, Cash Warren, have three children: daughters Honor (16) and Haven (13), and son Hayes (6). This isn’t the first time Alba has spoken about her daughters’ influence on her style. During a November appearance on The Talk, Alba and her Honest Renovations co-star Lizzy Mathis discussed how their teenage daughters have encouraged them to embrace wider-leg jeans over tighter styles.
“They tell us…remember, they were like, ‘No more tight jeans. You need to wear the wider-leg jeans.’ And it took us a minute,” Alba shared. Mathis added a humorous anecdote about advising Alba’s eldest daughter, Honor, against wearing underwear as outerwear. “The other day we were at the house and her daughter was going out, Honor, her oldest. And she was like going out, trying on her clothes. I’m like, ‘No, we can’t wear that! We can’t wear that either.’” Alba chimed in, “I was like, ‘Honor. Underwear is not outerwear. It’s still underwear. It goes underneath.”

Alba also humorously recounted how her teenagers often critique her fashion choices and responses as “mom-like.” “I think it’s easier to get them to be into you when they’re younger. But I have two teenagers. And they’re like, ‘Oh my gosh, that looks like such a mom thing to wear.’ Or, ‘That’s such a mom answer,’ ” Alba said, imitating her daughters.
Recently, Alba shared photos from a family vacation in Mexico on Instagram, including a heartwarming picture with her daughters, Haven and Honor, in tropical dresses. The caption read, “Mexico with my mains 💙☀️🐳🪸🧿🧞♂️,” showcasing a happy family moment.
