Meghan Markle’s Netflix Series “With Love, Meghan”: A Deep Dive into Lifestyle and Connection

Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, is set to launch her new Netflix lifestyle series, “With Love, Meghan,” on January 15th. This eight-episode series, hosted and executive produced by Markle, promises a fresh take on lifestyle programming, blending practical advice with candid conversations. The show, filmed in Montecito, California, features Markle engaging in various activities, from cooking and gardening to flower arranging and hosting gatherings with friends and family, including her husband, Prince Harry.

Markle’s vision for the series centers on elevating the ordinary and finding joy in everyday moments. “We’re not in the pursuit of perfection, we’re in the pursuit of joy,” she states in the trailer, emphasizing that “Love is in the details.” The show aims to inspire viewers to find beauty in unexpected places and create meaningful connections.

Netflix describes the series as reimagining lifestyle programming by combining practical how-to segments with intimate conversations. Markle shares personal tips and tricks, emphasizing playfulness over perfection. Guests join her in various activities, encouraging viewers to participate and discover their own creativity.

Each 33-minute episode features a diverse group of Markle’s close friends, including her makeup artist Daniel Martin, photographer Delfina Blaquier (wife of Prince Harry’s friend Nacho Figueras), actress-producer Mindy Kaling, and several other notable figures. Renowned chefs Roy Choi, Ramon Velazquez, and Alice Waters also contribute their culinary expertise.

Directed by Michael Steed and with Leah Hariton as showrunner, “With Love, Meghan” is a collaboration between Archewell Productions (founded by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex) and The Intellectual Property Corporation. This marks Markle’s first solo hosting project for Netflix. It follows the couple’s docuseries “Harry & Meghan,” which achieved record-breaking viewership upon its release. Their previous docuseries “Polo” did not perform as well on Netflix’s charts.

Since stepping back from royal duties, the couple has established themselves in media production through a lucrative Netflix deal, estimated to be worth $100 million. “With Love, Meghan” aligns with Markle’s passion for cooking, previously showcased on her lifestyle blog, The Tig, and through her work with the Hubb Community Kitchen cookbook.

The series announcement coincided with Markle’s return to Instagram with a new account, @meghan. Her first post, a video filmed by Prince Harry, symbolized a fresh start for the new year. Markle intends to leverage social media to engage with global communities, share project updates, and promote positive connections. “With Love, Meghan” promises to offer an intimate glimpse into Markle’s world, her passions, and her commitment to creating a life filled with joy and meaningful connections.
