Meri Brown’s Future: Leaving Lizzie’s Heritage Inn and Searching for Love

Meri Brown, star of the reality show Sister Wives, has revealed that running her late mother’s bed and breakfast, Lizzie’s Heritage Inn, is no longer her dream. In a recent episode of the TLC series, Brown confided in her friend, Jenn Sullivan, that while taking over the inn “made sense” at the time, it was never her true aspiration. “Having the house was my dream,” she clarified.

Lizzie’s Heritage Inn, located in Parowan, Utah, was inherited by Brown after her mother, Bonnie Ahlstrom, passed away in 2021. Brown initially took over operations, temporarily closing the 154-year-old establishment in August for renovations. It briefly reopened for haunted Halloween tours in October.

As of February 3rd, Lizzie’s Heritage Inn remains closed for reservations, leaving Brown to contemplate her next move. When asked by Sullivan about her future aspirations, Brown candidly admitted, “I don’t know, I need to find a man.” Sullivan playfully suggested, “A dreamy man,” to which Brown readily agreed.

In a separate confessional, Brown offered further insight into her dating life. The ex-wife of Kody Brown confirmed her openness to finding a new partner, stating her desire to avoid living single. However, the future of the inn remains a significant factor in her plans. “I just need to figure out what to do with the house,” she explained. Sullivan jokingly replied, “Got plenty of rooms though… You could have a man for every room.”

Brown is currently weighing various options for the property, including potentially moving in herself or transforming it into an event space. “I want people to experience the home,” she emphasized, with Sullivan echoing the sentiment, “Make memories at Lizzie’s Heritage Inn.” While expressing her desire for companionship, Brown acknowledged that her future living arrangements remain uncertain. “I don’t know that I want to move into the house and have it be my house because I don’t know that it’s going to be my house,” she stated. “Just depends on the man that I find, I guess, and what we decided to do together.”

This uncertainty surrounding the inn comes amidst ongoing disputes with Kody Brown over the former family property, Coyote Pass, in Flagstaff, Arizona. In a previous episode, Brown revealed she had hired a lawyer to ensure she receives an equal share of the property. “There’s been a lot of confusion surrounding the way things have been done in the family, the way that Kody is with me and has been with me for many, many years,” Brown explained. “So I think that’s why I’m going to get a lawyer to help me through this process.”
