Randy Moss, the celebrated NFL Hall of Famer, is maintaining a positive outlook as he confronts a cancer diagnosis. His business partner, chef Brittany Tolliferreo, recently shared with TMZ Sports that Moss is “in great spirits” and determined to continue pursuing success despite the challenges. Tolliferreo and Moss co-own Crisppi’s Chicken in Miami, their latest venture in the restaurant industry.
Moss, 47, and Tolliferreo’s partnership began in 2023 when Moss invested in Tolliferreo’s Philadelphia-based restaurant, Chick-a-Boom. Their successful collaboration led to the opening of Crisppi’s Chicken earlier this year. Tolliferreo emphasized Moss’ unwavering drive, stating that he “won’t stop and he wants everything to just be successful and continue to grow.”

The former Minnesota Vikings star and current ESPN analyst first revealed his cancer diagnosis in an Instagram Live video in December 2024. He described noticing discolored urine, which prompted a doctor’s visit and ultimately led to the discovery of cancer in his bile duct, located between the pancreas and the liver.
Moss underwent his first surgery over Thanksgiving, during which a stent was placed in his liver. He subsequently underwent a second surgery, the Whipple procedure, a complex operation used to treat tumors in the pancreas, small intestine, and bile ducts.

In his Instagram Live video, Moss expressed gratitude for his medical team in Charlotte, North Carolina, and thanked his supporters for their prayers. He also urged his followers, particularly Black men, to prioritize regular cancer screenings. Moss candidly admitted, “I didn’t think I would ever be in a position like this, as healthy as I thought I was,” underscoring the importance of proactive health measures. He indicated that radiation and chemotherapy treatments would follow his surgeries.
Prior to publicly disclosing his diagnosis, Moss shared a video on Instagram in December hinting at a personal health battle, asking for prayers. Shortly after, ESPN released a statement announcing Moss’s temporary leave from his role as co-host of Sunday NFL Countdown to focus on his health. The network expressed full support for Moss and anticipated his return when he was ready. ESPN lauded Moss’s contributions to the show for nearly a decade, highlighting his insightful commentary and unwavering passion for the game.
