The incident unfolded on Saturday, March 16th, after the Volusia County dispatch received an anonymous call about two intoxicated individuals passed out on the beach.
Body camera footage released by the Sheriff’s Office captures the moment a deputy approaches the couple, identified as Alisia Langley and Timothy Stevens, attempting to rouse them from their intoxicated slumber. Despite several attempts, the couple remains unresponsive.

Upon finally regaining consciousness, the couple is informed that alcohol is prohibited on the beach. The situation quickly escalates as authorities inquire about the whereabouts of their children. Langley, disoriented and struggling to locate her identification, vaguely gestures towards the ocean when questioned about her kids.

Adding to the chaos, Stevens, already on his feet but unsteady, stumbles around, claiming the children are nearby. However, his inability to pinpoint their location raises further concerns among the officers.
As the search for the missing children intensifies, Stevens is placed in handcuffs for his and Langley’s apparent neglect and public intoxication. Despite being restrained, he manages to light a cigarette, seemingly unconcerned about the gravity of the situation.
