Amidst reports of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle closing their Buckingham Palace office and laying off 15 staff members, new signs suggest their move across the pond may be permanent. The royal couple was recently spotted on the campus of prestigious Stanford University in Palo Alto, California.
Arriving discreetly on Tuesday via a commercial flight connecting through Seattle, they managed to avoid causing a stir. Greeted by the University’s president, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex reportedly spent several hours with professors and academics, brainstorming ideas for a charitable entity they intend to establish this year.
While the specific focus of their charitable endeavor remains undisclosed, education has always been a priority for Meghan. She has consistently advocated for equal access to education, emphasizing that “everyone should be afforded the opportunity to receive the education that they want but more importantly the education that they have the right to receive.”
This move signifies the couple’s commitment to forging a “different” path, as Harry stated last month while addressing his decision to step back from royal duties. He affirmed that this decision, made with Queen Elizabeth’s support, allows him and Meghan to pursue a life outside the traditional confines of royalty.

Sources reveal that Prince Harry is currently in discussions with Goldman Sachs regarding participation in an interview series for employees, to be broadcasted on YouTube.
Meanwhile, Meghan’s previous venture as the first guest editor of British Vogue has resurfaced in a newly released video from August. The September 2019 issue, which focused on a diverse group of women driving positive change, reflects Meghan’s passion for empowering women.
“Anyone, no matter who they are, [should be able to] pick up this [issue] to see themself in it, and that’s what I feel really proud that we’ve accomplished,” Meghan shared, highlighting the significance of representation and inclusivity.
