Shania Twain’s Tongue Takes Center Stage in Coffee-Mate’s Super Bowl LIX Commercial

Shania Twain lends her voice to a surprising star in Coffee-Mate’s new Super Bowl LIX commercial: a singing, dancing tongue. The ad, promoting the brand’s cold foam creamers, features a catchy tune and a memorable visual that’s sure to generate buzz.

“There’s so much involved with the tongue that a lot of people don’t even realize, so it just made technical sense in a way, on a nerdy level,” Twain, 59, explained exclusively to PEOPLE about the unique concept. “But also, I think it is just very fun. The fun of the cold foam and the dancing tongue was great.”

The commercial opens with a man relaxing on a couch, adding Coffee-Mate’s cold foam creamer to his drink. After taking a sip, he wipes away the excess foam with his tongue, which then hilariously proclaims, “Let’s go tongues!”

The tongue then breaks into song and dance, singing, “I’m a dancing tongue and I like the taste of cold foam.” The ad culminates with the man and his friend enthusiastically spraying cold foam creamer into their mouths. The quirky visual is paired with Twain’s new song, “Gimme Cold Foam,” created specifically for the commercial.

Twain described the song as “the ultimate pop bop,” explaining that its catchy nature drew her to the project. “It was just like the ultimate pop bop, and it felt like something I wanted to get into just for the fun of it,” she said. “I had to get the feeling, get my tongue around it, I guess you could say.”

“Gimme Cold Foam” will be released on February 9th, coinciding with Super Bowl LIX. The championship game, held at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, will see the Kansas City Chiefs battle the Philadelphia Eagles for the title.
