Portsmouth, Virginia – A brazen home invasion targeting an elderly couple has sent shockwaves through the community, as chilling footage of the incident captured by the victims’ Ring camera circulates online. The incident, which unfolded on September 14th, has left residents on edge and sparked an urgent manhunt for the perpetrators.

According to the Portsmouth Police Department, two armed men forcibly entered the couple’s residence, subjecting them to a terrifying ordeal. The harrowing video evidence reveals the intruders’ aggression as they order the couple into a nearby closet. While the woman complies immediately, the suspects grow increasingly agitated when the elderly man, visibly frail, requires assistance with his walker.

Disturbingly, one of the intruders can be seen angrily gesturing towards the elderly man, directing him towards the designated hiding place. The woman briefly exits the closet to assist her husband, highlighting the couple’s vulnerability in the face of such a brazen attack.
Once the couple is confined to the closet, one suspect can be observed entering an adjacent room while his accomplice seizes the couple’s cell phones from the living room couch, eliminating their ability to call for help. The second intruder then proceeds to the kitchen area, where he steals an unidentified object from the counter before joining his partner in the neighboring room.

The suspects then made their escape, carrying a safe pilfered from the home. Authorities later confirmed that the perpetrators also stole a wallet belonging to the victims.
The Portsmouth Police Department has successfully identified the individuals captured in the Ring camera footage as 25-year-old Michael Boney Jr. and 22-year-old Tyree DeMont Boney Jr. Both men are currently wanted on multiple felony charges, including armed burglary, use of a firearm, abduction, and conspiracy to commit a burglary.
Authorities have revealed that Michael Boney Jr. is known to operate a distinctive orange 2017 Dodge Charger bearing the Virginia license plate UBS7788.
