Simone Biles, the celebrated Olympic gymnast, always looks fashionable while cheering on her husband, Jonathan Owens, in the NFL. However, she recently revealed a surprisingly hands-off approach to her game-day outfits.
In an exclusive interview with Olympics.com, the 27-year-old athlete admitted that she often entrusts the design of her custom game-day attire to the creators themselves. “I reach out to some of the creators that make the apparel, and I have no ideas. I let them kind of freeball it, and I say, ‘Surprise me.’ And then that’s how I piece them together,” Biles explained. Her ensembles often incorporate stylish tributes to Owens, a safety for the Chicago Bears.

For the Bears’ December 22nd matchup against the Detroit Lions at Soldier Field, Biles sported a chic monochromatic look. She wore a black shirt embellished with a dazzling “36,” a nod to Owens’ jersey number. The outfit was completed with a Prada bucket hat, a puffer coat, and a pair of $1,390 Prada ski boots. “Today’s ‘fit is actually very simple, just because me and my friends’ outfits didn’t come in time. So, this is my back-up,” she shared with Olympics.com.
Biles has joined the ranks of other stylish WAGs (wives and girlfriends of athletes) like Taylor Swift, Brittany Mahomes, Olivia Culpo, and Ciara, who consistently showcase their support with team-inspired fashion. Her wardrobe boasts an impressive collection of clothing and accessories dedicated to Owens and the Chicago Bears.
At the Bears vs. San Francisco 49ers game on December 8th, Biles donned a pair of jogger sweatpants with “Owens” printed on the front. The previous month, during the Bears’ game against the Minnesota Vikings, she sported a denim bomber jacket with her married name prominently displayed.

While Biles hasn’t disclosed the source of her custom-made pieces, she previously commissioned fellow WAG Kristin Juszczyk, wife of San Francisco 49ers star Kyle Juszczyk, to design a puffer vest for her when Owens played for the Green Bay Packers.
Beyond her fashion choices, Biles cherishes the opportunity to support Owens, reciprocating the encouragement he showed her during the 2024 Paris Olympics. “It means the world to me,” she told Olympics.com. “And I know it means so much to him for me to be able to go and support his games.” She revealed that Owens considers her presence on the sidelines before games a good luck ritual. “He’s always looking for me on the sideline to give him, like, good luck vibes and wishes. That’s just his superstition.”
Since beginning her relationship with Owens, Biles has become increasingly involved in the world of football, a sport she admits she never followed growing up. “I’ve learned so much and even some of his teammates’ wives are like, ‘Oh my gosh, you’ve come so far, you’ve learned so much,’ because they’ve seen the journey,” she shared.
